I was recently asked this question and it reminded me of the time several years ago when my mentor asked me the same thing. I quickly answered him by saying that I trained in order to be strong - He was even quicker to point out that the truth of the matter was that I wasn’t strong and then demonstrated his supernatural ability to read me like a book by saying that I trained; “so u like what you see in the mirror - you train for vanity” - He was absolutely right! I was training in order to look good - now don’t get me wrong I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to look good but there are much more important and more beneficial reasons to exercise. In the days following our discussion he taught me how to “train my brain” - I learned that the mind is what we should focus on when we train - the body is merely the vehicle that takes us on the journey to optimal health although it reaps many benefits on the way. When you “train the brain” your focus and mental toughness will improve 10 fold, you will relieve stress, anxiety and depression by releasing an abundance of mood enhancing endorphins - you will develop stronger will power and the ability to manage life’s more difficult challenges with greater ease - you will sleep better and you will have an abundance of energy. For now the only place you can learn this technique is at the Power Center but in the very near future it will be available for everyone in a book and dvd series. Until then come visit us and be sure to do something for your health on the daily. Get it done!
