~ Matt Wassel- People are always asking me to describe the East Meets West class but its hard to do because it is unlike anything else that is offered in any gym I have ever
been to. I have worked out my whole life and worked in the fitness industry for 14 years so I was looking for a workout that would challenge me.
Someone recommended the Power Center and its been 4 1/2 years and I can honestly say every time I take the class it challenges and pushes me and keeps me coming back. What is also amazing about the classes is that while they take the experienced exerciser to the next level they are also non-intimidating to the beginner.
The trainers are so motivational, knowledgeable and encouraging that they are able to inspire the clients to do more than they ever thought they could and keep them from becoming discouraged. Whether you are an athlete or a exercise novice, a cardio queen or a muscle head the East Meets West Class at The Power Center will change your level of fitness and change what you thought a real workout was.
~ Tara McGovern - Just to let you know, there has been an unexpected benefit to my training with you. Normally in golf, particularly at my age, the more muscle-bound you are the less distance you get (or else you're way off line). By virtue of the core training that you've been giving me, I find that I am more flexible, able to turn better in my golf swing, and the result over the last two years, without changing any of my equipment, has been an addition of about 5-10 yards on all of my shots (10 yards with the drives, 5 with the irons). In addition, I find that I am able to get out of the rough a little easier, due to my added upper body strength and flexibility.

Why not? After all, they say there’s strength in numbers - Whoever ‘they’ are? - Well whoever ‘they’ are I happen to agree with them and here’s why - Take the first word of the three - ‘FAITH’ - that is a very powerful word - I can’t imagine going back to living the life I was living when my faith was fractured, questioning, and unstable - with faith we can enter into the realms of everything and anything is possible and man what an awesome feeling that is! - As we all know life will sometimes hit us hard challenging us with different types of adversity - creating anger, frustration, doubt and confusion which can sometimes leave us questioning our faith - now watch how word number two is going to make ‘FAITH’ even more powerful than it is all alone - ‘PATIENCE’ - by practicing patience we develop an ability to roll with those hard punches life hits us with - in time patience will thicken our skin and soften our hearts, teaching us very valuable lessons along the way - combining patience with faith enables us to accept things for what they are and see that perhaps things do happen for a reason - now lets add the third and final word into the mix - ‘TRUST’ - another big, powerful, and important word for us to contemplate - when we truly trust our faith then we absolutely have nothing to fear and without fear we are at peace - when we are at peace we are happy, we are connected, and once there we are able to direct our energy and focus into more meaningful and purposeful endeavors - Strength in numbers? - what do you think?
